A phone system for people who work with their hands.
DialFrontDesk is a small company in Edmonton, Alberta.
We build an always-on phone and text answering system for trades and restaurants: the businesses where the owner is usually busy doing the work when the phone rings.
Why we exist
A plumber under a sink, an electrician in a panel, a cook in the middle of a dinner rush: none of them can answer the phone right then. The person calling usually has a problem that needs solving now, so they try the next number on the list. The business never finds out the call happened.
We wanted a way to make sure somebody always picks up, without hiring a full-time receptionist.
What we do
- When you don’t answer, a voice assistant picks up, asks what the caller needs and how urgent it is, and texts them back so they know it was received.
- Every call becomes a numbered ticket in your dashboard with a summary, and up to three people on your team are texted the moment it arrives.
- Where you want it, it books the job or order straight into your calendar.
- You keep your business number. Your phone rings first, and we only step in when you can’t answer.
How we work
DialFrontDesk is a managed service. We don’t hand you software and a manual. We set it up around how your business runs (your hours, services, service area and greeting), check that your call forwarding works, and look after it afterwards. A real person is always a short email away.
We start new clients on a free 30-day trial, so you can see it work on your own calls before you decide. You can turn it off any time.
What we’re upfront about
- It is an automated voice assistant, not a person, and it can misunderstand a caller. When it isn’t sure, it flags the call so you can call back yourself instead of guessing.
- It is not an emergency service. Anyone in danger should call 911.
- Calls may be recorded and transcribed to build your tickets, and the greeting tells callers so.
- We don’t sell your customers’ information. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we keep and why.
